DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on fast, friendly,
Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
Maintains a good rapport with vendors.
Orders product to ensure adequate supply and to maintain product quality, freshness and proper
Satisfies departmental projected sales, gross margin, and cost objectives.
Performs receiving duties including: breaking down loads, cutting cases, stacking, pricing and
marking merchandise, organizing cooler and storage areas, and refrigerating products immediately.
Ensures cost, quality, and inventory control through verifying orders against invoices, auditing
contents of product cases, and reporting shortages and claims to ensure proper billing.
Properly completes necessary forms and reports.
Stocks, rotates and faces product. Prevents shrink and product damage. Ensures quality of goods
by following code dating procedures. Prevents the sale of out-dated products.
Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the department.
Follows Division merchandising schematics and proper signing procedures.
Completes monthly inventories.
Performs training duties.
Responsible for performing all job duties and responsibilities with honesty and integrity.
Other necessary and required duties and responsibilities.
Requires good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to be friendly, courteous, and
tactful and maintain composure in dealing with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
